Aries Marine Corp. claims Prime 8 Offshore owes more than $30,000

Contract 03

LAFAYETTE – A Lafayette company alleges a Texas business has not paid it in full for the use of a boat.

Aries Marine Corp. filed a complaint on Jan. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana against Prime 8 Offshore LLC alleging that the oil and gas exploration company failed to perform its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between Feb. 19, 2016, and Feb. 29, 2016, defendant time chartered plaintiff's Marine Liftboat Ram XIX to provide services at a well site in West Cameron Block 102. To date, the balance amount of $37,160 allegedly remains outstanding. The plaintiff holds Prime 8 Offshore LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to make payments for the remainder of the said account balance.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award for the outstanding amount due, plus interest, attorney’s fees and costs, and such other relief as is just. It is represented by George C. Plauche and James L. Bullen of Bullen & Plauche LLC in Lafayette.
