NEW ORLEANS – Toyota's leasing business is suing a customer, alleging an unpaid lease.
Toyota Lease Trust filed a lawsuit Jan. 6 against Stacy McCurry in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging an open account.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff allowed McCurry to be the co-leaser of a vehicle. The suit states the agreement required regular payments on the car being leased. Despite the agreement to make regular payments on the car, the defendant has failed to uphold the agreement and has fallen behind in payments.
Toyota Lease Trust seeks all money owed, reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Zelma M. Frederick of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
