Customer blames car wash for injuries

Car accident 07

GRETNA – A customer is suing a car wash business, alleging its negligence led to a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Craig Berthelot filed a lawsuit Jan. 17 against Washing Cars LLC, doing business as Pelican Pointe Carwash, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, on March 6, 2016, Berthelot was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Suburban when his car and another customer's car were involved in a collision while in the defendant's car wash machine. The suit states that the plaintiff was at no fault in the incident.

Berthelot seeks all reasonable damages, attorney fees, court costs and equitable relief. He is represented by attorneys Tony V. Tran and Tu Thomas Hoang of Cao Law Firm in Harvey.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
