Chism Supply LLC alleges it paid for products that weren't delivered

MONROE – An Ouchita Parish business that supplies plumbing and utility products claims a California did not ship products the plaintiff paid for.

Chism Supply LLC filed a complaint on Jan. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Monroe Division against J-M Manufacturing Inc. alleging breach of contract and unfair trade practices.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff claims that as a result of defendant's alleged wrongful conduct, plaintiff suffered damages in the total amount of $156,334.60, plus other consequential and treble damages. The plaintiff holds J-M Manufacturing Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly retained plaintiff's advance payments and refused to ship the product that had been paid.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages in the amount of $156,334.60, plus punitive and/or exemplary damages, costs of this litigation and all other just and equitable relief. It is represented by Johnny E. Dollar of Dollar Law Firm LLC in Monroe.
