American Express alleges Platinum Card customer owes more than $22,000

GRETNA – American Express is suing a credit card customer, alleging more than $22,0000 in unpaid debt.

American Express Centurion Bank filed a suit Jan. 24 against Hamadallah Kaki of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to pay off a credit card bill.

According to the claim, Kaki was issued a Platinum Card by American Express. The suit states the defendant used the card to make charges and payments, totaling $22,652.96. The suit states Kaki has failed to pay off the balance due.

American Express Centurion Bank seeks all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorneys Edward F. Bukaty III, Warren W. Wingerter Jr., and Alexander D. Bukaty of Edward F. Bukaty III, A Professional Law Corporation in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 768456.
