Man files lawsuit after fall at Wal-Mart

NEW ORLEANS – A Orleans Parish man claims that he was injured when he fell in a hole on Wal-Mart property.

Paul Lang filed a lawsuit Jan. 23 against Wal-Mart Louisiana LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff, a resident of Orleans Parish, was a customer at a Wal-Mart located in Orleans Parish on March 29, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to fall in a hole that was not marked. The fall resulted in injuries to the plaintiff, the complaint said.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to repair the damages, failing to warn of the danger and overall negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys, Brian King, Jason Giles, Anthony Milazzo III of The King Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula Brown.
