Funding business seeks debt of nearly $6,000

NEW ORLEANS – A funding company is suing a customer, alleging he owes nearly $6,000.

Midland Funding LLC filed a lawsuit Jan. 19 against Samuel Hampton in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, Hampton is indebted to Midland Funding for $5,942.97, plus interest. The plaintiff alleges Certified Roofing and Sheet Metal LLC to be indebted to Hampton or the employer of the defendant and seeks garnishment of the funds necessary.

Midland Funding seeks the money owed, all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Jeremy L. Nusloch of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.
