U.S. Bank claims promissory note not paid off

GRETNA – U.S. Bank National Association is seeking damages for unpaid sums.

The bank filed a suit Jan. 25 against Joe Ann Rhodes and Erica Rhodes in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff allowed the defendant to execute a promissory note for the original mortgage balance of $43,300. The suit states that the defendants have failed to pay off the full balance, leaving a sum of $36,940.51 still to be paid plus interest.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jason Smith of Dean Morris LLC in Monroe.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner Jr.
