GRETNA — Bank of America is seeking damages from a consumer for an open account.

Bank of America N.A. filed a suit Jan. 31 against Delilah K. Kavagnac in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit account to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay off the balance of the credit account, which is $8,763.69. The defendant is accused of open account for not paying the outstanding balance.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeremy L. Nuslocj of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
