New Orleans attorney seeking damages after he was allegedly defamed

NEW ORLEANS – An attorney is seeking damages for defamation.

Robert G. Harvey Sr. of New Orleans filed a lawsuit on Dec. 28, 2016 against Allen J. Krouse III and Privileged Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange ("Pure") in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging defamation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was retained to represent an individual in January 2015 concerning a prior incident. The suit states that the defendant accused the plaintiff of withholding important information about the case at hand.

The defendant is accused of defaming the plaintiff and damaging both his personal and professional reputation.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorney Donald C. Douglas Jr. of The Douglas Law Firm LLC in Mandeville.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
