Woman alleges wet floor caused fall at Ochsner Medical Center

NEW ORLEANS – A Mississippi resident alleges she was injured while visiting a relative at Ochsner Medical Center.

Terry K. Goss filed a complaint on Jan. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Ochsner Health System alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 1, 2016, she sustained severe personal injuries when she slipped and fell on a wet substance at defendant's Ochsner Medical Center. As a result, she alleges she has suffered medical expenses, physical impairment, pain and suffering, mental anguish and inconvenience. The plaintiff holds Ochsner Health System responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently allowed the dangerous and hazardous condition to exist and to failed remedy the hazard of which it had actual or constructive knowledge.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional amount of the court, all costs of these proceeding, plus interest and for all other relief that the court shall deem appropriate.
