LAFAYETTE – A Mamou pipe welder alleges he was injured while working aboard a deepwater floating production system.

Michael Hargrave filed a complaint on Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Lafayette Division against Wood Group PSN Inc., LLOG Exploration Co. LLC, et al. citing the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 3, 2016, he was employed by Dynamic Industries Inc. working aboard defendants' deepwater floating production system the Delta House. While in the course of his employment, the suit states he slipped and fell on a section of a defective grading on the Delta House's top deck, which caused him to sustain permanent injuries and damages.

The plaintiff holds Wood Group PSN Inc., LLOG Exploration Co. LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn him of the hazardous conditions in the workplace and failed to insure that the top deck was free of all hazards and defects.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, in the full and true sum of $4 million, together interest and for all costs of these proceedings.
