NEW ORLEANS – U.S. Bank is suing a promissory note customer, alleging she owes nearly $70,000.

U.S. Bank NA filed a lawsuit Feb. 9 against Rashelle Cavalier, also known as Rashell Lanette Cavalier, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due and breach of agreement.

According to the complaint, U.S. Bank is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $69,832. The suit states Cavalier has failed to pay off the full sum and is still indebted to the plaintiff for $69,656.82, plus any interest accrued.

U.S. Bank seeks all money due, reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Jason R. Smith of Dean Morris LLC in Monroe.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
