Shoring company alleges it was never paid for work

NEW ORLEANS – A shoring company is suing a customer, alleging an unpaid contract.

Southern Elevations & Shoring Inc. filed a lawsuit Feb. 9 against Lillie Jefferson in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Southern Elevations is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $30,000. The suit states Jefferson has failed to pay off the full balance, and still owes the plaintiff $29,520 for an elevation job that she contracted the plaintiff to do.

Southern Elevations & Shoring seeks all sums owed, damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney R. Scott Buhrer of Buhrer Law Firm in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
