Regions Bank alleges mortgage customers owe more than $17,000

GRETNA – Regions Bank is suing three mortgage customers, alleging they owe more than $17,000.

Regions Bank filed a suit Feb. 14 against Stella Mae Harris, Jacquelyn Harris and John Albert Harris, deceased, in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging make agreed-upon payments.

According to the claim, Regions Bank is the holder of a promissory note for $30,000 that was executed by defendants Stella Mae Harris and Jacqueline Harris. The suit states the note was executed for mortgage purposes by all three defendants in 2000. The defendants allegedly have failed to make the payments as required and are in breach of their agreement, still owing $17,717.81, plus interest.

Regions Bank seeks all sums due, court costs and all equitable relief. It is represented by attorney Fred J. Daigle of Graham, Arceneaux & Allen LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 769023.
