Bank of America seeks more than $55,000 for promissory note

GRETNA – Bank of America is suing two promissory note customers, alleging they owe nearly $56,000.

Bank of America NA filed a suit Feb. 9 against Dionne M. Nickerson and Terry Louis Smith Sr., in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to pay off the note in a timely manner.

According to the claim, Bank of America is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $55,807.90. The suit says Nickerson and Smith have failed to keep up with payments on the note and are still indebted to the plaintiff for the entire sum of the note, plus interest and fees.

Bank of America seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Daniel A. Reed of Seale, Smith, Zuber & Barnette LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 768928.
