Customer blames Dollar Tree for fall, injuries

NEW ORLEANS – A customer is suing Dollar Tree, alleging the store's negligence caused him to fall and suffer injuries.

Jeffery Desalle filed a lawsuit Feb. 15 against Dollar Tree Stores Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 11. 2016, Desalle was a customer guest at Dollar Tree Store, 5201 Canal Blvd., New Orleans. The suit says Desalle slipped on a wet sport and fell to the ground, sustaining serious injuries.

Dollar Tree is accused of negligently failing to properly clean the store, warn of danger or train employees.

Desalle seeks reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorneys Graham J. Rees, Robert P. Charbonnet Jr., Richard D. Roniger II and James S. Rees IV. of Charbonnet Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
