CPA alleges she was never paid $85,000 for her work

GRETNA – A certified public accountant is suing customers, alleging they owe more than $85,000.

Yavonka G. Archaga filed a suit Feb. 17 against Tonya Jackson, Garron Johnson and Johnson & Johnson Law Offices LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to pay the plaintiff and breach of contract.

According to the claim, Archaga was hired by her friend, Johnson, to perform CPA duties. Following the completion of her duties, the suit says, the defendants failed to pay Archaga the money owed for more than 400 hours of work, totaling $85,612.50.

Archaga seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorney Anita M.L. Bohannan of Bohannan, Rogers & Associates in Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 769152.
