Customer alleges service contract on car not honored

Contract 10

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish man is suing a car servicing business, alleging his service contract was not honored.

Kevin Darensbourg filed a lawsuit Feb. 22 against Carsafe LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Darensbourg was solicited in 2012 by Carsafe to purchase a vehicle service contract. The plaintiff says he purchased the contract for $3,225 and it was to cover his car for five years.

When Darensbourg's car malfunctioned, the lawsuit states, and he sought to have it repaired under the contract, Carsafe failed to honor their agreements and have refused to pay for the repair costs.

Darensbourg seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorney Martin L. Broussard of the Law Offices of Mary Broussard in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
