NEW ORLEANS – A wireline operator claims he was injured while working on a Chevron rig.

Timothy Volter filed a complaint on March 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Chevron USA Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Sept. 18, 2016, he was performing his duties as a wireline operator for Superior Energy Services/Warrior on a rig owned and operated by defendant when he slipped and fell several down flights of stairs, causing him to suffer painful and severe personal injuries to his back, neck, knee and other parts of the body. The plaintiff holds Chevron USA Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to exercise due care and caution and failed to provide adequate supervision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for an amount sufficient to adequately compensate his damages, plus interest, costs of this suit and for all general and equitable relief. He is represented by Ronna M. Steele of Law Office of Ronna M. Steele in Gretna.
