Bank alleges promissory note customer owes more than $55,000

GRETNA – A bank is suing a promissory note customer, alleging he owes more than $55,000.

U.S. Bank National Association filed a suit March 9 against James C. McCoslin, also known as James McCoslin, in 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due in failing to pay the plaintiff.

According to the claim, U.S. Bank is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $71,400. The suit states McCoslin has failed to pay off the balance as agreed upon and is indebted to the plaintiff for $55,820.51, plus interest.

U.S. Bank seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Corey J. Giroir of The Law Offices of Herschel C. Adcock Jr. in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
