Mortgage company alleges promissory note customer owes nearly $165,000

GRETNA – A mortgage corporation is suing a promissory note customer, alleging he owes nearly $165,000.

Standard Mortgage Corporation filed a suit March 8 against Steve M. Sintes Jr. in 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due in failing to pay off a balance owed.

According to the claim, Standard Mortgage is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $176,500. The suit states Sintes has failed to pay off the balance and is still indebted to the plaintiff for $164,895.40, plus interest and fees.

Standard Mortgage seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Fred J. Daigle of Graham, Arceneaux & Allen LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
