Waste disposal firm faces sexual harassment lawsuit

NEW ORLEANS – A woman employed by a solid waste disposal company is seeking damages in a sexual harassment case.

Denise Eleby filed a lawsuit March 9 against Richard's Disposal Inc., an employee, Eric Dal, and XYZ Insurance Carrier in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging harassment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is a resident of Orleans Parish. The suit states that while in her scope of work at the Richard's Disposal, the plaintiff was touched in an inappropriate manner. The plaintiff was also sexually harassed, and unwanted sexual advances were made against her, the complaint said.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by herself.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern Reese.
