Sisung Film Finance alleges it is owed $100,000

Contract 07

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans financing company alleges it is owed payments in conjunction with a production of a film.

Sisung Film Finance LLC filed a complaint on March 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Daro Film Distribution GmbH alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it loaned Industry Releasing Inc. the sum amount of $175,000 to finish the filming and production of "Killing Salazar." The suit states Industry assigned to plaintiff the rights of Industry to be paid by defendant under a letter agreement. As of the date of this complaint, plaintiff alleges it has not received payment of $100,000. The plaintiff holds Daro Film Distribution GmbH responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay final payment to plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order for defendant to pay the sum of $100,000, costs of litigation and all other equitable relief. It is represented by Paul D. Rees of Weiler & Rees LLC in Covington.
