NEW ORLEANS – An African-American contractor alleges he was not paid for security services he provided to an apartment complex.
Oscar Dantzler filed a complaint on March 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Triumph Housing Management LLC, Tangi Village LP, Mike McLeod, Leo Tate, et al. alleging that they violated the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 15, 2016, he rendered security and transportation services for defendants' tenants from the apartment to safe surrounding area shelters due to heavy rains. As of the filing of this complaint, he alleges he has not been paid. The plaintiff holds Triumph Housing Management LLC, Tangi Village LP, Mike McLeod, Leo Tate, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly have discriminated against him and made no efforts to make payment for the services he provided for defendants' tenants and apartment complex.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment for damages amounting to $100,000, attorney's fees and costs and all other relief that the court may grant. He is representing himself.
