Orleans Parish resident claims he was not paid in full for work completed

NEW ORLEANS – An individual claims that after four years of work, the employer failed to pay the amount promised.

Nadir Hasan filed a lawsuit March 16 against Dr. Rashad N. Ali, Donna S. Ali, Aurora Entertainment LLC, Raks Fire & Sprinkler LLC, ABC Insurance Co. and XYZ Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff, a resident of Orleans Parish, was hired as a chief operating officer, via verbal contract. The defendants assured the plaintiff that he would receive certain amounts of money during his projects. The first year he was told that he would earn $50,000 but only earned $2,000. The second year he expected more money than he earned but was told that he would be compensated fairly, according to the complaint. The third year he earned only $3,000, and the fourth year he was expecting to be paid $200,000 but only was paid $6,000. The suit states that the plaintiff has never been fully paid.

The defendant is accused of breach of verbal agreement.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael G. Bagneris of Davillier Law Group LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
