Car accident 37

NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages after he was pursued by another driver.

Ernest Franatovich of St. Bernard Parish filed a lawsuit March 20 against Darrel Walters of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging intentional tort.

According to the complaint, on March 25, 2016, the plaintiff was driving on the North Robertson Avenue in Orleans Parish when the incident occurred. The suit states that as the plaintiff was driving, the defendant was driving extremely slow, and the plaintiff chose to pass the defendant. The defendant allegedly drove around and applied his brakes in front of the plaintiff to try to cause an accident. The defendant then emerged from his car and allegedly tried to open the plaintiff's car doors but was unable to before the plaintiff drove away. The defendant then tried to throw a brick at the plaintiff's car window and chased the plaintiff for 17 minutes, according to the complaint. The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Robert T. Garrity Jr. in Harahan.
