LAFAYETTE – A woman alleges she was injured when the driver of a tractor-trailer failed to obey a traffic control device.

Mien B. Dinh filed a complaint on March 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana against Hartford Accident and Insurance Co., KJ York Enterprise Inc. and Miko D. Lemon

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 29, 2016, she was operating her motor vehicle traveling east on Johnson Street through its intersection with SW Evangeline Thruway with a green signal light when Lemon, who was employed by defendant KJ York, negligently entered the intersection and collided with plaintiff's vehicle with his tractor-trailer.

As a result, she alleges she sustained injuries that resulted in physical pain and mental anguish, medical expenses and all other damages. The plaintiff holds Hartford Accident and Insurance Co., KJ York Enterprise Inc. and Lemon responsible because Lemon allegedly failed to obey traffic control device, failed to keep careful lookout and failed to maintain proper control of his vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks damages in an amount reasonable under the premises, costs of these proceedings and all other just and equitable relief. She is represented by Brian C. Colomb and Misti L. Bryant of Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys in Lafayette.
