Tulane claims it never received payment for research opportunity it provided

NEW ORLEANS – An educational fund is seeking damages for a research opportunity.

Administrators of the Tulane Educational Fund, doing business as Tulane University, filed a lawsuit against Planet Biotechnology Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and defendant entered into a testing agreement in which the defendant was supposed to pay the plaintiff for participation; however, the defendant has allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff and is indebted for $485,818.55 for being part of the research agreement.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Barry H. Grodsky of Taggart Morton LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
