Southeastern Louisiana University alleges Orleans Parish resident failed to pay promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking payment of a promissory note.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a lawsuit against Ebony Nichole Owens of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging suit on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $1,997.03. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of the note and is still indebted for the balance.

The defendant is accused of failure to pay off the note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
