Orleans Parish allegedly failed to pay promissory note from University of New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for an unpaid note.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit April 5 against Brooke L. Juluke of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging suit on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an unpaid promissory note for the balance of $3,000 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay off the balance due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Rokeya J. Morris of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
