Orleans Parish man allegedly failed to pay $2,000 on promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for an overdue promissory note.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit April 5 against Isaac M. Fulton of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued the defendant a promissory note for the balance of $2,000. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance owed.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay off the note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula A. Brown.
