Man seeking damages after he fell at Northlake Shopping Center parking lot

NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages for an incident in a shopping center.

Kenneth Wade filed a lawsuit April 5 against United Fire and Indemnity Co.; Northlake Partners LLC, doing business as Northlake Shopping Center Inc.; and Meltzer Properties Ltd. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff visited the Northlake Shopping Center on April 26, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the defendant failed to remedy a dangerous condition in the parking lot, causing the plaintiff to be injured after a fall.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to remedy the situation or warn of the danger.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Anthony D. Irpino and Bobby G. Hawkins in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
