Law money 01

NEW ORLEANS – An East Baton Rouge Parish woman alleges her former Jefferson Parish employers failed to pay her for overtime work.

Brittany Landry filed a complaint on April 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Anchor36 LLC, Anchor36 Logistics LLC and Courtney Richard alleging that they willfully violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendants from April 2013 to March 2017. She alleges she regularly worked over 40 hours per workweek without receiving overtime pay. The plaintiff holds Anchor36 LLC, Anchor36 Logistics LLC and Richard responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay her overtime hours at a rate of at least one-and-one-half times her regular rate.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order allowing this case to proceed as a collective action, award of all unpaid wages, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees, costs of suit, interest and such other and further relief as may be just and proper. She is represented by Charles J. Stiegler of Stiegler Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.
