University of New Orleans seeks payment from Orleans Parish resident for promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A university seeks payment of a promissory note.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit April 12 against Ashley Miller of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging suit on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment on a promissory note for the balance of $2,000 plus fees and interest.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay off the note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
