Metairie homeowner claims Atlantic Casualty Insurance failed to pay for storm damages

GRETNA – A woman claims that her insurance policy failed to reimburse her for home damages.

Rosalia Lovisa filed a suit April 24 against Atlantic Casualty Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging that the company failed to pay for damages covered under the insurance policy.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was the owner of an insurance policy from the defendant for the address of 4405 Zenith St., Metairie. The suit states that a storm on April 27, 2015, caused extensive damages to the property. The suit states that the defendant failed to reimburse the plaintiff for the damages.

The defendant is accused of failing to provide the plaintiff the sums due, failing to uphold the insurance agreement and overall breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by herself.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 771286.
