New Orleans homeowner allegedly failed to make improvements as required in sale

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority is seeking damages for breach of contract.

New Orleans Redevelopment Authority filed a lawsuit April 18 against Adrian Chanel Bennette and Sandra W. Webber in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff sold the property at 10310 Morrison Road, New Orleans to Webber, with the understanding and agreement that certain improvements would be made to the property. Webber later transferred ownership of the property to Bennette. The suit states that the defendants have failed to make the improvements that they agreed to, and the plaintiff is seeking sums due.

The defendant is accused of failing to uphold the terms of the agreement.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Victoria Hines of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
