New Orleans homeowner claims Lloyd's of London failed to reimburse him for tornado damage

NEW ORLEANS — An Orleans Parish man is seeking damages, claiming that his home was damaged by a tornado and he not reimbursed.

Thomas McQuaid filed a lawsuit April 18 against Underwriters at Lloyd's of London in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is alleges that the defendant failed to provide full reimbursement after the plaintiff's property at 1724 Marais St., New Orleans, suffered damage from a tornado.

The defendant is accused of failing to fulfill the terms of the agreement and breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Anthony J. Milazzo Jr. of Heebler & Giordano LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
