Trustees seek payment on promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – Sums are being sought on a promissory note.

Fred Morgan, Jane Buras and Richard Conway, as trustees for the Sam M. and Gloria S. Newman Grandchildren's Irrevocable Class Trust No. 1, filed a lawsuit April 27 against Gulf Distributors LLC, St. Electronics International Inc., Christopher Mikowski and Christopher D'Amour in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs are the holders of a promissory note for the amount of $300,000. The suit states that the plaintiffs have sought out communication with the defendants in order to secure payment for the entire note, but the defendants have failed to comply.

The defendants are accused of breach of contract and declaratory judgment, as well as unjust enrichment.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Blake Mogabgahb from New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
