Jefferson Parish woman allegedly failed to pay off promissory note for work completed

GRETNA – A contractor is seeking damages for sums due.

120 West Partners LLC filed a suit May 9 against Michele Benfatti of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract and sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff completed work for the defendant following Hurricane Katrina. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff back for the work completed by failing to pay off a promissory note for $30,000.

The defendant is accused of sums due and breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Blake E. Oakes of The Oakes Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 771911.
