Orleans Parish resident accused of failing to pay on completed contract

NEW ORLEANS – A company is seeking damages for sums due on a completed contract.

120 West Partners LLC filed a lawsuit May 5 against Brunetta Smith of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired to complete a shoring contract in May 2012. The suit states that despite being provided with a promissory note for $30,000, the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff for the work completed.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Blake E. Oakes of The Oakes Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
