Orleans Parish resident allegedly owes over $6,000 on Sears credit card

NEW ORLEANS – A credit card company is seeking damages on an open account.

Citibank N.A. filed a lawsuit May 8 against Alina Hoffman of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due on an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued a Sears Gold MasterCard to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant used the card to accumulate an account balance of $6,359.37.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Naomi A. Cohen Ivker in Birmingham, Alabama.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
