Nicholls State University seeking over $2,500 from Orleans Parish resident

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for an unpaid balance.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through Nicholls State University filed a lawsuit May 18 against Wendrika Hills of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued a promissory note to the defendant for the balance of $2,698.60. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff back.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
