NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans woman claims that she fell on floor when she slipped on flour at a restaurant.
Margaret Hebert filed a lawsuit May 17 against Shaya Restaurant LLC, Magazine Street Properties LLC and ABC Insurance in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff was at the defendant's property at 4213 Magazine St. on May 21, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that there was flour left on the floor, and the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall.
The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to warn of the danger, allowing the dangerous situation to exist and overall negligence.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Melvin D. Albritton of Abritton Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
