Delgado Community College claims Jefferson Parish student didn't pay

GRETNA – A community college is seeking payment of an open account.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors through Delgado Community College filed a suit May 24 against Welton Chestnutt of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking payment for goods and services that they delivered to the defendant. The suit states that the plaintiff owes a balance of $2,688.50.

The defendant is accused of having sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 772459.
