Grambling State University alleges Orleans Parish resident failed to pay over $1,800

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking payment of sums due.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through Grambling State University filed a lawsuit May 30 against Marcus Villavasso of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account of $1,852.50. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the sums due.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Wendy Ramnarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
