Southeastern Louisiana University alleges woman owes nearly $3,000

GRETNA – A university is seeking damages for sums due.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a suit June 2 against Amber Nicole Dangerfield and Lockwood's Clinical Spa LLC as garnishee in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking payment of sums due on an account of $923.36 plus interest, resulting in a balance of $2,598.12. The suit states that the defendant is accused of owing the plaintiff, but that the garnishee is accused of owing the defendant payment.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay off the sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
