Nunez Community College claims it is owed more than $1,000

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking over $1,000 from an Orleans Parish resident.

Louisiana Community and Technical College system board of supervisors through Nunez Community College filed a lawsuit May 30 against Natalie Dianne Cooper in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account for the balance of $1,201.67. The suit states that the defendant has failed to make the necessary payments on the account.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
