New Orleans Redevelopment Authority seeks damages for contract breach on the sale of a home

NEW ORLEANS – A housing authority is seeking damages for breach of contract.

New Orleans Redevelopment Authority filed a lawsuit May 30 against Lawrence Barbir III of St. Tammany Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff sold the defendant a property at 7448 Scottsdale Drive, New Orleans, with the understanding that the defendant would make improvements to it. The suit states that the defendant has failed to make the improvements.

The defendant is accused of breaching a contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Victoria Hines in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
