ASI Federal Credit Union claims Metairie resident owes more than $50,000

GRETNA – A credit union is seeking payment of sums due.

ASI Federal Credit Union filed a suit June 5 against Charlene Lemon of Merairie in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued the defendant a promissory note for the balance of $55,752.48, in order to allow the defendant to purchase a 2011 Ford F250. The suit states that the defendant was in agreement of the understanding that regular payments would be required on the account, but that the defendant failed to pay off the total, leaving a balance owing of $50,220.89 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay what was required.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jules A. Fontana III and Darryl M. Fontana of Fontana & Fontana LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
